Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott knows a thing or two about playing in the SEC. And the former Mississippi State standout says no team is a better measuring stick than Alabama.
“If you can hang with Alabama, you can hang,” Prescott said.
The Texas A&M Aggies will show whether they’re legitimate national title contenders this afternoon in a marquee matchup against the Crimson Tide at Bryant-Denny Stadium. A&M is ranked No. 6, Alabama is ranked No. 1.
Prescott lost his only start at Bryant-Denny in 2014 when the Bulldogs were the top-ranked team in the country. Prescott threw three interceptions in what became a 25-20 loss.

Prescott didn’t feel the atmosphere at Alabama was much different than any other place in the conference, giving credit to the Crimson Tide players instead.
“Alabama is the biggest measuring stick for any college team,” Prescott said. “The stadium wasn’t all that. It is what it is, another SEC stadium. That’s what we’re known for [great atmospheres], having those venues that produce that. Alabama is just a good team.”
