Throughout the USA, this is an election year. But Baylor football fans will be first to the polls this fall, settling a wardrobe issue long before most Americans head to the ballot box in November.

Specifically, Baylor vans have until Aug. 24 to vote for the Bears’ uniform combination to be worn in the team’s Sept. 2 opener against Northwestern (La.) State in Waco. Three combinations are up for consideration and the combo that receives the most votes via social media on Twitter (@BUFootball), Instagram (@BUFootball) and Facebook (BaylorAthletics) will be worn by the Bears during the Friday night contest (6:30 p.m., FSN). Fans are eligible to vote on all three social media sites.

The choices: Option A (black helmet, green jersey, black pants; Option B (gold helmet, green jersey, gold pants) and Option C (green helmet, green jersey, white pants). It marks the first time the school has allowed fans to have a say in what uniform will be worn on game day.

Ballots must be submitted by 5 p.m. on Aug. 24.
