How did Trevor Knight celebrate being named Texas A&M’s starting quarterback Monday?
How else? He took a date to see the Biebs. That’s right, the 6-foot-1, 215-pound handsome devil of a football player went to the Justin Bieber concert Tuesday night at American Airlines Center.
But to set the record straight, it’s more about who he attended the concert with than the actual concert. Knight was accompanied by Duck Dynasty star Sadie Robertson. It’s unclear how the two met, but Robertson was probably in town in conjunction with Saturday night’s Duck Commander 500 at Texas Motor Speedway.

Robertson is the 18-year-old daughter of Duck Commander CEO Willie Robertson, although some might know her better for finishing as the runner-up in the 19th season of Dancing With The Stars.
No longer is Knight the runner-up at quarterback as he was last season at Oklahoma. He was knocked out of his starting job last year by Texas Tech transfer Baker Mayfield, who led the Sooners to the College Football Playoff, and certainly wasn’t going to relinquish his job in 2016.
So Knight, who hails from San Antonio, decided to transfer to A&M, where his path to the starting job was eased considerably by the transfers of Kyle Allen (Houston) and Kyler Murray (Oklahoma).
A graduate transfer with one season of eligibility remaining, Knight was impressive in the Aggies’ spring game last Saturday, and on Monday coach Kevin Sumlin tabbed him the starter over last year’s third-string option Jake Hubenak.
Knight rose to semi-stardom when he led the Sooners past Alabama in the Sugar Bowl following the 2013 season. Early in the 2014 season, pop star Katy Perry was a guest on ESPN’s College GameDay and on air asked for Knight to give her a call.
It took four months for Knight to respond to Perry, apparently because he said he didn’t have her phone number.
For his sake, let’s hope he remembered to ask Robertson for her digits.
