Texas Longhorns coach Charlie Strong has said his program is going to “steamroll” everybody once he gets it turned around.

It’s just that nobody knows when “once” will be. Strong is about to complete his third year of spring workouts with Saturday’s Orange & White Game (1 p.m., Longhorn Network) as he ventures into Year 3 of his rocky Texas tenure. He doesn’t have a starting quarterback yet, but he does have more young, explosive talent on both sides than in previous seasons.

Texas fans that view the 2016 season with equal parts anticipation and trepidation will get their first glimpse at their team’s new up-tempo offense. They won’t get a chance to see how injured quarterback Jerrod Heard (shoulder) will look running it, but they will see how Arlington Lamar product and early enrollee Shane Buechele handles it, as well as senior Tyrone Swoopes, who earlier this week Strong said is “totally different” from last season.

Sophomore offensive lineman Connor Williams, a freshman all-American last season, provided his take on what fans will see in Saturday’s spring game.

To ease some of that trepidation and pump up the anticipation for the Longhorns’ coming season, Texas released a new hype video to get everybody ready for the spring game. It starts with last season’s encouraging conclusion, the win at Baylor.
