UT Arlington will add women’s golf in 2017, the school announced Monday.
“Enhancing opportunities for female student-athletes is part of our mission here at UT Arlington,” athletic director Jim Baker said in a written statement. “The addition of women’s golf furthers our commitment to building and fielding championship-caliber Division I programs in each of our sport programs.”
It is the first sport UTA has added since starting women’s tennis in 1983.
