Former Vanderbilt and Furman coach Bobby Johnson will replace Archie Manning on the College Football Playoff selection committee.

Manning, who took a leave of absence last year because of health issues, cited conflicting demands for his time in his decision to step down.

Johnson was chosen unanimously by the CFP management committee in a conference call March 25, executive director Bill Hancock announced Friday.
