The Cotton Bowl Foundation joined forces Wednesday with the College Football Playoff Foundation in announcing $100,000 in grants to the Dallas Independent School District to support the city’s Barack Obama Male Leadership Academy.
Both entities will donate $50,000 to the academy, which has a mission to “develop young men into impactful leaders through the development of their intellectual, moral, physical, social and emotional skills for the global society of tomorrow.” The Cotton Bowl Foundation’s gift ensures that all students at the school will have the opportunity to visit a college campus prior to graduating high school. The CFP Foundation’s matching grant will go to offset other enrichment and exposure priorities.
