Texas Tech will hold spring game at Jones AT&T Stadium, practice in Frisco

Texas Tech football will return to the DFW area for part of its 2018 spring football schedule, the school announced Thursday.

On April 7, The Red Raiders will scrimmage inside the Ford Center at the Star in Frisco. According to the release, “More than 10,000 fans packed the Ford Center to watch Texas Tech scrimmage last spring.”

Tech was the first college football program to visit the facility, which also serves as the team headquarters for the Dallas Cowboys.

On April 14, Texas Tech will play its annual Spring Game at Jones AT&T Stadium. Kickoff for that event is set for 6 p.m.

Those two events, as well as a third scrimmage in Midland, will will be open to the public.
