Evan Skoug’s home run in the top of the fourth gave TCU (22-5) a 2-0 lead in the fourth, but a home run for the Shockers (9-19) made it 2-1.

TCU, No. 9 in the USA Today coaches poll, sent 11 batters to the plate in the fifth to build the lead to 8-1. Wichita State scored three runs in the ninth after a four-run TCU eighth made it 12-2.

Dane Steinhagen and Cam Warner doubled in the sixth. Ryan Merrill had a triple in the third and scored TCU’s first run.

The sweep was the second this season for the Frogs, who have won five straight.
