With 11 points tonight at Kansas State, senior guard Zahna Medley will pass TCU assistant and former Texas standout Edwina Brown on the Big 12 career scoring list.
Brown is 32nd on the list with 1,705. She was the third overall pick in the 2000 WNBA Draft by the Phoenix Mercury. Medley sits at 1,695 points after scoring 12 points Wednesday in TCU’s 69-48 victory over Texas Tech.
She doesn’t waste possessions. She doesn’t take bad shots.

Medley can reach the milestone against Wildcats coach Jeff Mittie, the former TCU coach who recruited her in 2012.
In seven games against the Wildcats (11-5, 1-4 Big 12), Medley has averaged 19 points a game. She hasn’t scored fewer than 18 against Mittie, who is in his second season at Kansas State.
Medley is averaging 16.2 points and shooting 44.9 percent from the field, 45.7 percent from 3-point range for TCU (11-5, 3-2).
“She doesn’t waste possessions,” TCU coach Raegan Pebley said. “She doesn’t take bad shots. That adds to the field goal percentage that she’s shooting.”
