The transfer portal officially opened on Monday and recruiting season is heating up across the country with a number of teams already landing big time transfers.

The Horned Frogs are hoping to land a few commitments of their own in the coming days as a few key targets have begun to emerge for Sonny Dykes and company.

TCU is hosting multiple transfers this week including a talented defensive lineman and a wide receiver from a Big 12 program.

Washington State defensive lineman Ansel Din-Mbuh will be on campus this weekend. A former standout at Aledo had a breakout season with 24 tackles and six sacks this season.

Houston wide receiver Joseph Manjack IV is also on campus. Dykes and the staff have history with Manjack going back to their time at SMU. Manjack originally started at USC before spending the next three seasons at Houston.

Manjack’s best season was in 2023 when he caught 46 passes for 577 yards and six touchdowns. Manjack had four catches for 50 yards against TCU in the Horned Frogs’ 36-13 win in Houston.

This season Manjack had 22 receptions for 351 yards and three touchdowns. He had two receptions for 21 yards in Houston’s win over TCU this season. The 6-foot-3 wide receiver could be a plug and play replacement for Jack Bech and he could thrive with a better quarterback and a more pass friendly offense.

Another receiver name to know is Oklahoma State transfer De’Zhaun Stribling. Stribling had a breakout season with a career-high 882 yards and six touchdowns for the Cowboys this season.

Stribling started his career at Washington State where he had over 1,000 yards and 10 touchdowns in two seasons. Stribling had just 198 yards last season before his career season. Stribling has No. 1 wide receiver potential and is another plug and play replacement at wide receiver.

Northwestern transfer safety Devin Turner is another player the staff is working to get on campus this weekend. Turner was a three-year starter with the Wildcats and was voted honorable mention All-Big 10 this season after recording 51 tackles and three interceptions.

According to HornedFrogBlitz, North Carolina transfer offensive lineman Howard Sampson and LSU tight end Ka’Morreun Pimpleton are two more key targets to watch. Sampson originally started his career at North Texas and he committed to TCU last December after entering the transfer portal before flipping to the Tar Heels late.

Sampson started the first six games of the season for the Tar Heels and has great size at 6’8, 325 pounds. Pimpton was a North Crowley standout and viewed as one of the most athletic players on LSU’s roster.

Other players that have reported TCU offers are East Carolina wide receiver Chase Sowell, Tulsa tight end Luke McGary, Louisiana receiver Harvery Broussard and Colorado State wide receiver Caleb Goodie.
