Texas second baseman Kody Clemens hit a two-run, walk-off home run in the ninth inning to beat TCU 5-3 Friday night at Disch-Falk field in Austin. Clemens homered twice in the game and drove in four of the five Longhorns' runs.

TCU right-hander Augie Mihlbauer, who entered the game with one out and no one on in the ninth, took the loss. Sean Wymer took over for starter Jake Eissler after a 4 1/3 and threw four scoreless, one-hit innings. Wymer struck out six and walked two.

With two outs and the bases empty, Duke Ellis singled on an 0-2 pitch to set up Clemens' game-winner to right field.

TCU scored three runs in the first against Texas starter Chase Shugart. Shugart allowed three runs (one earned) on four hits and three walks over five innings. Johnny Rizer drove in the first run with a bases-loaded walk and two more unearned runs scored on a throwing error by shortstop David Hamilton. The Longhorns scored a run in the fourth and tied it at 3-3 on Clemens' two-run homer in the fifth.

The Longhorns (36-18, 16-7 in the Big 12) can sweep the Horned Frogs (30-21, 10-12) in the series finale at 2:30 p.m. Saturday.
