The TCU women’s soccer team received an at-large bid Monday to the NCAA Tournament’s field of 64, the first in the program’s history.

The Horned Frogs were selected as one of 32 host sites for the first round, and will host Texas A&M at 7 p.m. Saturday at Garvey-Rosenthal Soccer Stadium on the TCU campus.

Tickets for Saturday’s game are available by calling 817-257-FROG or visiting gofrogs.com. Individual ticket prices are $10 for adults, $5 for TCU students with an ID and $5 for youth (ages 3-17).

TCU suffered a heartbreaking 3-2 overtime loss on Sunday to No. 1-ranked West Virginia in the final of the Big 12 tournament.

To reach the final, the Frogs defeated No. 25 Kansas 1-0, and Baylor 3-2 in overtime. TCU went 8-0-1 in nonconference and were 12-6-2 overall this season. The Frogs were 2-5-1 in the potent Big 12.

The winner of Saturday’s match will advance to the second round at a site to be determined and will face the winner of the game between Southern California, a No. 2 seed, and Eastern Washington. The second round begins Friday, Nov. 18.

The nine-team Big 12 earned six bids to the tournament. West Virginia was tabbed a No. 1 seed, while Kansas, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Texas Tech were also selected.
