Offense: Baylor landed a host of players that should fit nicely into its up-tempo offense, including QB Jarrett Stidham, RB JaMycal Hasty and receivers Blake Lynch and Devontre Stricklin. Houston Lamar product J.W. Ketchum was recruited as an athlete, but he’ll also likely play defensive back.
Defense: DB Henry Black and LB Clay Johnston highlight the Bears’ incoming defenders. Houston-area DB Jordan Tolbert should also add depth to Baylor’s secondary.
Immediate impact: It’s not out of the question to project Stidham as the replacement to departing senior Bryce Petty. Stidham is considered one of the top dual-threat quarterbacks in the country and will have time to transition into Art Briles’ offense as an early enrollee during spring practice.
