Christian Hollie went 4 for 5 with a home run and five RBIs as the UT Arlington baseball team routed Incarnate Word 10-2 on Thursday night at Clay Gould Ballpark in Arlington.
Hollie was one of five Mavericks who recorded multiple hits. As a whole, UTA pounded out 17 hits off the Cardinals.
Brady Cox, who had a career-best 13-game hitting streak snapped on Tuesday against Baylor, continued his hot hitting by going 3 for 5 with a run scored.
Incarnate Word (5-17) opened the scoring with two runs off UTA starter Brad Vassar in the first inning.

Trailing 2-1 in the second, UTA (12-11) took the lead for good with two runs on two hits, the big hit coming on Hollie’s double that scored Darien McLemore.
That one-run lead was more than enough for reliever Jacob Moreland (1-0). The reliever, who has given up only three earned runs this season, pitched 3 2/3 innings and struck out four to earn his first win of the season.
UTA added plenty of breathing room, scoring seven more runs, including homers from Hollie and RJ Williams.
