Easton Johnson walk-off RBI single in the bottom of the 10th kept UT Arlington baseball’s postseason hopes alive and snapped a 10-game losing streak for the Mavs.

UTA's 5-4 win over Arkansas State in a single-elimination game in the Sun Belt Championships on Tuesday at “Tigue” Moore Field was the Mavs' first since April 29.

UTA (22-33, 11-19) plated two runs in the bottom of the eighth to tie the game at 4-4 before Johnson knocked home Boone Montgomery to send the Red Wolves (20-32, 11-19) packing.

Easton finished with two hits, while Christian Hollie added a three-hit performance.

Ka’ikepono Anderson started on the mound for the Mavs and pitched four innings, allowing three hits while striking out four batters.

Up next, the Mavs face top-seeded Coastal Carolina Wednesday.
