A two-out, bases loaded double in the second by Jimmy Glowenke gave Dallas Baptist a lead it would not relinquish in Tuesday's 5-3 victory over UT Arlington's baseball team.

Glowenke had three hits and reached on a walk in leading the Patriots (28-14). In the fourth inning, Kragen Kechely came on in relief of DBU starter Kody Funderburk and delivered four scoreless innings, allowing two hits and striking out five.

The big inning by Dallas Baptist (28-14), along with insurance runs in the seventh and eight innings, was enough to overcome single-run frames by UTA (21-24) in the second, third and ninth.

Will Olson and Phillip Childs contributed two hits apiece while RJ Williams had two hits and two walks for UTA, which returns to action on Friday at home for the opener of a weekend Sun Belt Conference series against Appalachian State.
