South Alabama pitching stifles UTA hitters

Kevin Hill gave up a run and five hits in seven innings, leading South Alabama to a 6-1 victory over UT Arlington in Sun Belt Conference baseball Friday night at Clay Gould Ballpark.

The Jaguars (12-6, 3-1) jumped to a 4-0 lead after three innings and had a 5-0 lead before the Mavericks (7-7, 2-2) scored in the sixth inning.

“We weren’t very good tonight, but give Kevin Hill credit,” UTA coach Darin Thomas said. “We just didn't make any adjustments all night long.”

Fort Worth Arlington Heights graduate Brady Cox had two singles for UTA.
