Fort Worth Vaqueros host Dallas City in Trinity River Cup
The Fort Worth Vaqueros FC take a break from conference play to begin the Trinity River Cup, a two-game series against Dallas City FC.
The Vaqueros have fallen behind early in the past three matches of National Premier Soccer League play, only to rally with four second-half goals in those contests.
“We need to play a complete 90 minutes against Dallas City as they are a very talented team,” Vaqueros coach Mark Snell said.
Fort Worth Diamond Hill-Jarvis product Nestor Martinez made his debut for the Vaqueros in Saturday’s loss in Joplin, Mo. He was denied a goal by the crossbar in the 13th minute. Martinez, 18, will most likely see time in Thursday’s match.
