Rangers rained out in Detroit, will play doubleheader on Saturday

DETROIT -- The Rangers and Tigers will play a day-night doubleheader Saturday after rain postponed Friday's game at Comerica Park.

The first game Saturday will be played as scheduled, at 12:05 p.m CDT, and the rained-out game is scheduled to begin at 6:05 p.m. Matt Harrison and Rick Porcello, Friday's scheduled starters, will pitch Game 1, and Neftali Feliz and Justin Verlander will work the night game.

Game 1 will be televised on Fox Sports Southwest and carried on the radio on ESPN/103.3 FM. Game 2 will be on KTXA/Channel 21 and KSKY/660 AM.

Rain started to fall shortly after Rangers batting practice was canceled about 90 minutes before first pitch. The grounds crew immediately got the tarp on the field, but the continued threat for more rain eventually led to the postponement.
