The Dallas Cowboys' preseason schedule was released on Wednesday and not surprisingly the first two games are on the West Coast to accommodate the team's training camp in Oxnard, Calif.
The Cowboys will open at the Oakland Raiders on Aug. 13 in a Monday night game nationally televised on ESPN. That is the only date that is firm.
The second game will be at the San Diego Chargers the weekend of Aug. 17-19. The Cowboys will host the St. Louis Rams in the first preseason game at Cowboys Stadium the weekend of Aug. 24-26 before concluding the preseason at home against the Miami Dolphins on Aug. 29 or 30.
Look for the Miami game to be on Aug. 29, a Wednesday, to give the Cowboys maximum time to prepare for the season opener, which is set for Wednesday, Sept. 5, at the New York Giants.
