A flurry of TCU scoring at the end of the first half, including a 66-yard touchdown catch by Josh Boyce and a 26-yard interception returned for a score by Tank Carder, led to the No. 20 Horned Frogs' 55-13 rout of Portland State Saturday in front of a crowd of 33,825 at Amon G. Carter Stadium.
With the score tied at 3-3, Boyce took a quick pass over the middle 66 yards for a touchdown with1:55 left in the first half. On the Vikings' next play from scrimmage, Frogs' cornerback Jason Verrett deflected a pass into the arms of Tank Carder, who returned the interception 26 yards for a score to make it 17-3.
After a stop by the TCU defense, Skye Dawson returned the punt 42 yards, setting up a 10-yard touchdown pass from Casey Pachall to Dawson.
Waymon James opened the second half with a 65-yard run for a score on TCU's first play from scrimmage to make it 31-3. James later scored on an 82-yard kickoff return. James finished with 136 yards rushing on 10 carries. Dawson and Boyce combined for 205 of Pachall's 214 passing yards, and three touchdowns on 12 receptions.

TCU finished with 462 yards of offense. Portland State had 295 yards.
