Knicks' Jose Alvarado Issues Warning To Victor Wembanyama After Game 3

The New York Knicks have officially reached their breaking point with San Antonio Spurs star Victor Wembanyama.

During the first half of Game 3, Wembanyama was caught shoving Knicks star point guard Jalen Brunson out of the way. Although it could've been viewed as a hostile act from the French phenom, he didn't receive a flagrant foul from the officials.

Wembanyama isn't in the clear just yet though. According to reports, the NBA is reviewing this incident to see if he should receive a flagrant foul.

"The NBA, as is customary, will today review Victor Wembanyama's first-quarter foul on Jalen Brunson to determine whether any additional penalties (such as a retroactive flagrant foul) are assessed," Marc Stein reported.

Knicks fire back at Wembanyama.

When asked about Wembanyama's actions in Game 3, Knicks guard Jose Alvarado made it clear that he won't tolerate another questionable play from the All-Star big man.

"I think that's not basketball," Alvarado said, view Zach Braziller of the New York Post. "That's something that they gotta look at. But he got away with one. That'll be the last one."

Former Knicks star Stephon Marbury must love that warning from Alvarado. After all, he said someone on New York's roster should "pop" Wembanyama in his ribcage.

"Wemby is an international player, they play dirty overseas, just so you know. We're not used to playing dirty in America the way how Wemby just now threw Jalen Brunson. If I'm watching film, and I see Wemby throw somebody on my team... the next game, I'm going to pop him in his ribcage so hard with my elbow that he's going to fall and drop to the ground, and he's going to wish he never put his hands on me," Marbury said, via Sports Illustrated. "Next game, I guarantee you, after y'all watch that film what he did to Jalen Brunson, you better know that whenever he get on the basketball court, you better make sure you put that knife in his neck. ... Next game, you make sure you bring that same energy, alright?"

It's going to be fascinating to see how the Knicks handle Wembanyama this Wednesday.

Game 4 is set for 8:30 p.m. ET on ABC.
