I noticed in a recent article that a federal judge is troubled by the distances that some women have to travel in order to receive an abortion. (See: “New Texas abortion law troubles federal judge,” August 14)
I have also noticed that there are thousands of individuals who have lost their insurance, doctor and can no longer use their local hospital due to the Affordable Care Act.
In many instances they are forced to drive past their former doctor and hospital in order to receive medical care in another community. I have not heard any federal judges express concern for those individuals.
Surely we have not “progressed” to the point in our society where we are more concerned about making it convenient to take life than to save life.
