Perhaps the editorial writer suggesting that the state stop “roadblocks” to hiring Obamacare “navigators” by imposing extra requirements hasn’t kept up with the news. (See: “Perry, TDI should remove roadblocks,” Sunday)
Secretary Sebelius testified that felons may be hired as navigators, meaning convicted criminals could have access to personal applicant data. Project Veritas released videos of Enroll America employees in Texas admitting working with ACORN like Democrat activist group Battleground Texas, and information mining for partisan purposes. Other videos showed navigators in Irving recommending applicants commit fraud in stating income.
The Obamacare rollout was a disaster. Millions have lost insurance they liked. Exchanges in many states like Oregon and Maryland are more dysfunctional than the federal one. Rather than “misleading” us, the governor and legislature are trying to protect Texans from this predictable disaster. Making sure navigators are fully trained, are not partisan political operatives and are not felons is surely part of that task.
