Get ready for a warmup. Today’s high temperature in DFW should reach 82 degrees, compared to a normal 74, with a low of 59 tonight, according to the National Weather Service in Fort Worth.
Tuesday is also predicted to be warm with a high of 81 and a low of 59. Skies will be sunny both days.
No rain is expected in the area in the short term; light rain and sprinkles could develop north toward the Red River.
National Weather Service meteorologist Lamont Bain said Tuesday should be windy, with 10-20 mph south winds and gusts up to 30 mph ahead of a cold front on Wednesday.

Wednesday’s temperatures are expected to drop to a high of 75 and a low of 49, according to the weather service. Bain said Wednesday will bring 10-20 mph north winds with gusts up to 30 mph.
The warmer temperatures should return on Thursday with a high of 81 and a low of 59, according to the weather service. The weekend should see highs in the 70s, with no chance of rain until Sunday.
“We don’t have any appreciable rain chance in the forecast,” said Bain. The best chance for rain is on Sunday night, when it’ll be 30 percent, he said.
“It’s difficult to pinpoint at this time,” he said. “Right now with the chances that we have, it will probably be scattered showers and storms.”
