Yes, it was cold Saturday at the All Western Parade in downtown Fort Worth. So much, in fact, that Leonardo Espinoza, left, covered up completely while waiting with mother Annie Llamas and father Hugo Espinoza.

The slight chance of snow never materialized but otherwise Saturday’s cold front came through as promised.

Temperatures dropped from a high of 64 degrees Friday afternoon to 40 on Saturday, making for a chilly day at the All Western Parade in Fort Worth, the annual kickoff to the Fort Worth Stock Show.

It was expected to drop just below freezing overnight before warming up to 52 on Sunday.

But it’ll get colder late Sunday and early Monday, around 28 degrees, with a high on Martin Luther King Jr. Day in the mid-40s.
