All lanes of Interstate 20 are open to traffic in Grand Prairie, after a section of buckled concrete that formed a pothole was repaired early Monday.
As of 11 a.m., all lanes were open and the large pothole in the westbound lanes near Belt Line Road was no longer an issue, transportation department spokesman Tony Hartzel said via email.
“A pothole was filled in the outside lane this morning. TxDot maintenance is on site and reports no other issues,” Hartzel said,
NBCDFW.com reported several cars were damaged by the buckled pavement. Word spread quickly on Twitter, with many feeds continuing to urge motorists late Monday morning to seek alternate routes.

But transportation department officials said the repairs were completed several hours ago, and were trying to spread the word that the roadway was safe and open to all traffic.
