Drivers might want to avoid Texas 360 in Arlington Thursday night and Friday morning.

Southbound Texas 360 will be shut down from 8 p.m. Thursday to 5 a.m. Friday for road work between Brown Boulevard and Six Flags Drive, according to the Texas Department of Transportation.

Motorists are urged to seek alternate routes.

Luckily, the Texas Rangers are on their first road trip of the 2019 season, so baseball fans don’t have to worry about getting caught in the traffic.

Motorists will be detoured to the frontage road at Brown Boulevard and re-enter SH 360 at Six Flags Drive. Alternate routes are advised.

The closure is weather permitting, transportation department spokesman Val Lopez said. The weather forecast calls for mild temperatures overnight, and little chance of rain.

The road work is part of the $233 million makeover of the Texas 360/Interstate 30 interchange. The work is expected to continue until 2021.
