An argument at a Texas vehicle repair shop left one man dead, authorities said.

Officers responded shortly after 4 p.m. Feb. 24 to reports of a shooting at a southwest Houston tire shop, KPRC reported.

A customer, upset with how long his truck repair was taking, began arguing with the shop owner, the outlet reported, citing Lt. Larry Crowson of the Houston Police Department.

When the fight got physical, the owner’s son shot the customer, KRIV reported, citing police.

The customer was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a Houston Police Department post on X, formerly known as Twitter. The shooter stayed at the scene until police arrived, authorities said.

Police are investigating the shooting and are looking for surveillance footage, KHOU reported.

The identity of the customer was not released, nor was the name of the tire shop. No charges have been announced.
