Police are searching for a man accused of stealing five handguns from a Grand Prairie pawn shop last week.

The theft happened about 3:30 p.m. last Tuesday at the Valu Plus Pawn shop in the 2900 block of Arkansas Lane, police said in a statement.

The suspect damaged a glass display case at the shop before taking the guns and fleeing south into the nearby Silverbrook Apartment complex, the statement said.

Grand Prairie Crime Stoppers is offering up to $1,000 for information leading to the suspect’s arrest. Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at (972) 988-8477.
