Thirty pianists out out of a starting field of 68 advanced to the quarterfinal round of the Cliburn International Amateur Piano Competition, the Cliburn announced late Monday night. They will play solo recitals 15-18 minutes long at 2 and 7 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday at Van Cliburn Recital Hall.
