Donald Trump Jr. is scheduled to speak Tuesday at a business conference for a company that distributes shooting sports and outdoor products.
The event is private and not open to the public, said Kirk Slaughter, the city’s public events director.
Officials with AcuSport could not be reached for comment Monday afternoon about their business conference, but an online blog by a company participating in the event notes that “special guest Donald Trump Jr. will be speaking at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, September 12th.”

AcuSport Corp, founded in 1965, is a private company headquartered in Bellefontaine, Ohio. The company has a regional sales office in Arlington.
Trump Jr. has been in the news recently for privately testifying before the Senate Judiciary Committee about a campaign meeting he attended last year with a Russian lawyer potentially to learn damaging information about Democrat Hillary Clinton, his father’s chief competitor in the presidential election.
He also has drawn media attention for the news that he will receive $100,000 for speaking during an Oct. 24 University of North Texas speaker series.
At UNT, Trump Jr. will give a 30-minute speech and participate in a 30-minute question-and-answer session, a contract for the event shows. Although the university has not announced where the speech will be, the contract states that it will be at AT&T Stadium in Arlington.
The contract also says Trump Jr. will attend a dinner the night before the speech, a breakfast the morning of the speech and a VIP reception before the speech. His travel, hotel and meals will be paid for by the college as well, up to $5,000.
More than 19,000 people have signed a Care2 petition asking Trump Jr. to donate the money he will receive to Hurricane Harvey victims. Trump Jr.’s fee is nonrefundable unless he cancels.
There was no word Monday about how much Trump Jr. will receive for speaking at the AcuSport event.
