Have you been involved in a civil lawsuit or bankruptcy proceeding? No

Who are your top three campaign contributors? Every contribution I have received has come from individuals. I have not received any PAC or special interest group donations.

Why are you seeking this office? I am running for Congress because District 6 deserves to be heard and represented, not forgotten. I am not a career politician; I am a career public servant. Through more than 20 years in law enforcement, my service on the city council, and now as Mayor of Covington, I have learned that effective leadership requires showing up, listening, and staying connected to the people you serve.

If elected, what would your top 3 policy priorities be? My top three policy priorities are transparent, fiscal responsibility, national security, and infrastructure. First, we must prioritize Transparency in Government Spending to rebuild public trust and ensure every dollar is accounted for. We need to Strengthen the Economy by cutting wasteful spending and making sure taxpayer dollars serve the American people, not foreign wars or unaccountable NGOs. Second, we must Secure Our Borders to protect our communities and improve immigration processing systems that are vital to national security. Third, as our population grows, we must also invest strategically in Infrastructure, Energy, and Water Systems to meet future demand and support a stronger, more resilient America.

How will you measure your success as a member of Congress? The measure of my success lies in how effectively I serve my constituents. I am dedicated to ensuring that every individual in our community is heard, valued, and represented. My votes and policy decisions will always reflect the interests, priorities, and well-being of the people of district 06.

Why should voters choose you over your opponents? Every constituent will have access to me. I want to hear from all of you. I will implement a regular email update system to keep you informed and to actively solicit your feedback. When I am home, I will hold in-person town halls and remain engaged in community events. A true representative must be accessible at all times, and must also be willing to answer hard questions and explain their decisions and votes face-to-face, not hide behind digital town halls.

What is the biggest challenge facing Congress? How would you address it if elected? The greatest challenge facing Congress today is the growing disconnect between words and actions. Too many representatives say what voters want to hear, only to abandon those promises once in office. It’s time to demand integrity, accountability, and courage from our elected officials. We need leaders who stand firm in their convictions, uphold the Constitution, and serve the people, not special interests.

What is the number one challenge your constituents are facing, and how do you plan to resolve it? The number one challenge my constituents are facing is a lack of true representation. Too often, there’s a disconnect between the community and those elected to serve it. When that relationship breaks down, the voices of the people go unheard, and their needs are overlooked. My goal is to bridge that gap by strengthening constituent services, maintaining open lines of communication, and being present in the community. By actively listening, hosting regular town halls, and ensuring that every concern is addressed, I can make certain that the priorities of our district are reflected in every decision I make.

How would you interact and work with members of the opposite party? Are there specific policy ideas where you see opportunities for bipartisanship? Bipartisanship is essential if we want to achieve meaningful change in government. The ability to sit down with someone from the other side and have honest, respectful discussions is what our system was originally designed to encourage. I will never compromise my beliefs, my values, or our constitutional rights to appease an opponent, but there are issues that demand cooperation and support from both sides of the aisle.

How would you approach foreign policy as a member of Congress? Foreign policy isn’t about handouts, it’s about strength! We will stand shoulder-to-shoulder with true allies who share our values and defend freedom. However, funding foreign wars and governments that neither benefit America nor strengthen our partners must end. Instead of sending billions overseas, we need to reinvest in our own nation and put American families first.

What steps, if any, should Congress take regarding artificial intelligence, including regulation and/or safeguards? AI is the future, but unchecked data centers must not cripple our energy grids or water supplies. I’ll enact smart regulations, requiring impact assessments, backup power mandates, and strict water-use limits, while prioritizing major infrastructure investments in grids, energy, and water systems to support AI growth without compromising affordability or reliability for Texans.

What should be prioritized in federal spending and what, if anything, do you believe should receive less budget allocations? Federal spending must strictly adhere to Article 1, Section 8, Clause 1 of the U.S. Constitution, which authorizes taxation only to “pay the Debts and provide for the common Defense and general Welfare of the United States.” Taxpayer dollars should prioritize debt reduction, national defense, and essential domestic needs. To achieve this, we must eliminate funding for foreign wars, foreign governments, and speculative overseas projects, redirecting resources to strengthen our nation.

What should Congress do to address healthcare? Congress needs to push for more competitive options for insurance and allow families to decide what is best for their needs and budget. We also need to have more transparency when it comes to the cost of prescriptions drugs as well as the cost of hospital visits and procedures. Congress needs to expose the kick backs that are being handed out from big Pharma and to doctors who are incentivized to either do certain treatments or prescribe certain drugs.

How do you plan to ensure affordability for Texans in the day-to-day as well as in the housing market? Affordability for Texans requires expanding tax credits, investing in housing supply, lowering healthcare costs via transparency/competition, and cutting regulations driving up goods prices. This delivers day-to-day relief and stabilizes housing markets.

What should Congress do, if anything, to address security along the U.S.-Mexico border and immigration policy? Border security is extremely important, and we need to continue to build the border wall and strengthen our immigration processing systems. I also believe that we need to investigate streamlining some of the legal immigrants that are waiting to be processed for the opportunity to become citizens. The amount of illegal immigration over the past administration has crippled our ability to address those who have been in the system for citizenships for years. I also believe that we need to continue deporting all the violent illegal immigrants who are known gang members, drug dealers, murderers, and human traffickers.
