Granbury resident wins $1 million on Texas Lottery scratch-off ticket
A Granbury resident claimed a $1 million top prize scratch-off ticket in “Big Money,” Texas Lottery officials said.
The winner, who chose to remain anonymous, purchased the ticket at Last Chance convenience store, at 8500 Mitchell Bend Court in Granbury, according to the Texas Lottery news release.
This is the second top prize claimed in the “Big Money” game, with two more $1 million tickets in circulation, according to the Texas Lottery website.
The chances of winning a top prize ticket are one in about 2,010,000, according to the ticket directions. The chances of winning any prize, including breaking even, are one in 3.73.
So far, 798,477 prizes have been claimed as of June 4, and there are over $122.7 million in total prizes in the game, the Texas Lottery website states.
Each Big Money ticket pack costs $20, with six winning numbers and 30 scratch-off numbers. The player attempts to match their numbers to the winning numbers, the website says. Symbols such as a treasure chest or “20X” increases the prize, and there are three bonus scratch-off symbols for a $50, $100 or $200 bonus.
The game will end once all top prize tickets are claimed or for business reasons, the Texas Lottery website states.
