A crash involving two motorcycles early Friday morning killed one of the riders on his birthday, injured another and closed Northwest Loop 820 for about three hours, police said.

Alexander Jensen, 23, was pronounced dead at the scene at 3:06 a.m. in the 7400 block of Northwest Loop 820 near the Lake Worth bridge, according to the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office.

Officers arrived about 3 a.m. and found Jensen and another motorcyclist down in the eastbound lane.

The wreck is still under investigation, but a police spokesman said it appeared that no other vehicles were involved.
