Arson suspect sought after break-in at Crowley elementary school

Authorities are seeking the arsonist who broke into an elementary school in the Crowley school district and set books and other items on fire.

Police and firefighters responded to Meadow Creek Elementary School, 2801 Country Creek Lane, at 3:50 a.m. Monday after a breakin was reported, according to a Fort Worth Fire Department news release.

The vandal can be seen on surveillance video walking into the building. Investigators believe he set books and other classroom items on fire, causing significant damage. He also sprayed graffiti in the room.

The fire was contained by the sprinkler system, the news release said.

The fire department is “seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and apprehending this arson suspect before he has the chance to strike again,” according to the news release.
