Bleeding man walks into Ridgmar mall, dies of stab wounds

A man bleeding from his torso walked into the west entrance of Ridgmar mall about 8:30 p.m. Thursday near the Old Navy store, officials said.

The 30-year-old had been stabbed multiple times, fire Battalion Chief Richard Harrison said.

The man was taken by MedStar ambulance to Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth, according to a MedStar notice.

He was pronounced dead at the hospital, Harrison said.

In the west parking lot late Thursday, Fort Worth police had encircled a red Ford Mustang with yellow crime scene tape. Both passenger-side tires of the car were flat.

A black ball cap lay on the pavement outside the car.

Investigators kept some patrons for questioning after the mall closed. Police declined to provide information about the stabbing.
