Two members of the Duck Dynasty flock are coming to Fort Worth.
Phil Robertson, patriarch of A&E’s popular reality TV show, and his son, Alan Robertson, will speak at the Fort Worth Convention Center on Nov. 1 at a benefit for the Dallas-based Messianic Jewish Bible Institute.
Phil and Alan Robertson will share “what goes on behind the scenes, their lives, their faith, their family and hunting ducks,” according to a news release.
“Given the popularity of Duck Dynasty, we thought this would be a great event to bring to Fort Worth, not just for us but for the people,” said Alisa Stephenson, the institute’s director of events. “I think people really appreciate Phil’s straightforward conservatism … but they will also have really great family stories done in true Duck Dynasty style.”
The reality show about Phil Robertson, his four sons, their wives and their duck call company in West Monroe, La., is among the most popular on television.
Comedians Mike Williams and Dennis “The Swan” Swanberg will join the Duck Commander for the event, which is sponsored by KLTY. Contemporary Christian artist Matthew West will follow the Robertsons with a concert.
Tickets for just the arena event start at $20 if purchased before Nov. 1.
Stephenson said the proceeds from the event will go toward the institute’s vision to “educate and train leaders for ministry throughout the world.”
