Fort Worth woman with dementia found safe

Police are looking for a missing 85 year-old woman with dementia in Fort Worth’s Northside neighborhood.

An 85-year-old Fort Worth woman with dementia was briefly missing Saturday afternoon.

Fort Worth police and family members searched part of northwest Fort Worth for more than hour for Maria Lopez. The woman left her home in 2700 block of N.W. 22nd Street around 3:15 p.m.

Lopez was located just before 4:50 p.m., police spokesman Tracy Carter said. Family and officers searched the Northside neighborhood.
