Now in jail, he's accused of trafficking a young girl in Fort Worth

A 26-year-old Fort Worth man has been arrested and faces a charge of trafficking a minor for prostitution, according to police records.

Desrick Johnson, a resident of the Morningside neighborhood in south Fort Worth, harbored a girl under the age of 18 and encouraged her to prostitute herself, according to court records and police spokesman Tracy Carter.

Carter said the victim was in her teens and is an American citizen. She was encouraged to engage in prostitution in early April, according to court documents.

The incident cited happened in south Fort Worth, Carter said.

Johnson was also charged with methamphetamine possession at the time of his trafficking arrest, according to court records. Johnson has previously served 100 days in jail for marijuana possession.

Fort Worth Police and the Tarrant County Sheriff's Office are looking for these 10 fugitives. Crime Stoppers will pay up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest. Call 817-469-8477.
