He didn’t want recognition, but he brightened the day of every employee at a McDonald’s restaurant in Fort Worth.

A mystery man went to the McDonald’s at 3601 Camp Bowie Blvd. on Nov. 3 and instead of ordering food, started handing out $100 bills to each employee.

A line of excited and grateful employees hugged him at the counter as the mystery man’s own employee, Lisa Davila of Fort Worth, recorded her boss distributing the cash and leaving one $100 bill for every employee that wasn’t at work: 33 employees in all, according to CBSDFW.

Davila told CBSDFW that the mystery man was recently diagnosed with cancer and wanted to spread some joy. She said she hopes his random act of kindness will inspire others to “pay it forward.”
