Motorcyclist dies after colliding with Burleson school bus

A motorcyclist who collided with a loaded school bus in Burleson on Wednesday afternoon died after being taken to the hospital.

The crash occurred at the intersection of Hidden Creek Parkway and Hidden Vistas Boulevard about 4:45 p.m., city spokeswoman DeAnna Phillips said.

Zachary Reid, 22, of Joshua, was flown to John Peter Smith hospital in Fort Worth, where he died less than an hour later, according to the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office.

The school bus was carrying 40 to 50 high school students. None of the students were injured, and they were placed on another bus home.

Phillips said she did not know how the crash happened.
