The search continued Tuesday, and a reward was announced and escalated, for a Fort Worth woman who went missing in Southwest Texas last week.

Zuzu Verk, 22, was last heard from early Wednesday, according to an Alpine Police Department news release, and is considered possibly endangered. Verk, a junior at Sul Ross State University in Alpine, went on a date Tuesday night but didn’t show up to class or work Wednesday, her father, Glenn Verk, told KRLD.

Tuesday morning, Alpine police posted on Facebook that as the search around Alpine continued, a $7,500 reward was offered for information leading to the whereabouts or safe return of Zuzu Verk. Later Tuesday, the reward increased to $17,500.

Alpine police request anyone with information on Verk to contact them at 432-837-3486.
