Argument ends with one dead, one arrested in Grand Prairie

A 20-year-old man was shot to death and another man was arrested early Sunday after an argument between the two men, police said.

Police identified the victim as Jacob Vadaurri of Grand Prairie, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers at the scene arrested Zachary Rico, 19, of Grand Prairie.

Patrol officers were dispatched to a shooting call shortly after 1:30 a.m. in the 1800 block of S. Santa Clara Court. When they arrived, officers found Vadaurri with a gunshot wound. Rico was still at the location, police said.

Witnesses told officers that Rico and Vadaurri were arguing just before the shooting.

Police did not release any information on the reason for the argument.
