A 21-year-old woman who survived a high-speed motorcycle crash on Interstate 35W early Saturday was killed moments later by a passing vehicle, police said.

The Tarrant County medical examiner identified the victim, who was a passenger on the motorcycle, as Zoe Niven. It did not give her place of residence

The driver of the motorcycle was being treated at a local hospital late Saturday and will face an intoxication manslaughter charge, said officer Jimmy Pollozani, a police spokesman.

The accident occurred about 12:30 a.m. in the 12000 block of the northbound lanes.

“The motorcycle was traveling at a high rate of speed and struck a portable road sign,” Pollozani said. “The female on the motorcycle gets struck by another vehicle.”
