Car slams into Fort Worth apartment and catches fire

Before one Fort Worth resident walked into her living room early Saturday to see a car in it, WFAA reported, she thought she was waking up to an earthquake.

Just after 3 a.m., a male and female were having an argument before they turned into the Las Mariposas Apartments at 2100 E. Loop 820 and the female started to have a panic attack, police said.

The female then drove straight into the building, which resulted in the vehicle and then the apartment catching fire.

Residents inside the apartment building were removed safely, police said.

WFAA, the Star-Telegram’s media partner, reported that the female in the car was taken to an area hospital with minor injuries.

Police have not charged anybody in the incident.
