Two Trimble Tech football players were hospitalized Thursday night for injuries that occurred during the game against Southwest High at Farrington Field.

Fort Worth school district athletic director Kevin Greene declined to say what the injuries were but said both players — senior Vernon Kimbrough and junior quarterback Vince Burton, who were injured about 15 minutes apart — remained conscious on the field.

“They’re in good hands,” Greene said. “At least one parent was present for each student.”

No other details were immediately available.
