Man arrested after woman found dead in vehicle in Grand Prairie
A 22-year-old man was arrested early Thursday after police found a woman’s body in a parked car.
The man, identified as Anthony Marcus, 22, was at the scene and was arrested, police spokesman Lyle Gensler said.
The body of Florencia Padilla, 20, was in the car. She had been shot, Gensler said
Marcus was described as her “current or former boyfriend,” Gensler said.
A 911 call was made about midnight about a “possible shooting victim” near the 1300 block of Daja Lane in a parked vehicle, he said.
He was in the Grand Prairie jail Thursday night. Bail had not been set.
“We feel we have a correct suspect,” he said.
The Dallas County medical examiner had not reported the cause of Padilla’s death or where she lived by late Thursday.
Gensler said police received information that the two had left Denton Thursday night and were headed to Grand Prairie. He said he had no further information.
