Dallas police Chief David Brown’s leadership after five officers were killed in July sparked suggestions on social media that he and Mayor Mike Rawlings should run for president.
At least one person was serious about the idea.
Actor Tom Selleck appeared on ABC’s The View on Thursday and shared his presidential pick: He wrote in Brown, who retired from the Dallas Police Department last month.
“That man showed such grace and leadership,” said Selleck, who plays the role of a New York police commissioner on the show Blue Bloods. “I was just deeply touched by him.”
